Bottoms up at Bierfest

Sunflower Fund is urging Bierfest goers to please use their referral code, 'Sunflower', to enable the organisation to get a certain percentage of the ticket sales at the event this weekend.

THE Sunflower Fund launched a partnership with Bierfest this year with the aim of increasing awareness to their cause while educating and recruiting potential bone marrow stem cell donors onto the South African Bone Marrow Registry (SABMR).

One of the fun initiatives to look out for at Bierfest is #SunflowerSundays! Every Sunday of Bierfest nationally, the raised VIP deck area will be transformed into a veritable “Sunflower garden”. This area will be exclusive to corporate guests, ambassadors and supporters of The Sunflower Fund. The partnership also gives the public and their supporters a chance to actively donate to The Sunflower Fund by buying a Bierfest ticket. For every ticket sold (bearing the unique referral code), 25 per cent of the ticket price will be donated to The Sunflower Fund. If booking tickets for #SunflowerSunday, please use the referral code ‘Sunflower’ to book your Sunday Uber Bier Hall Ticket and 50 per cent of proceeds will be donated to The Sunflower Fund.

If you would like to book your ticket to Bierfest through www.bierfest.co.za, please use the ‘Sunflower’ referral code to book your Uber Bier Hall or Standard Bier Hall Ticket and 25 per cent of ticket proceeds will be donated to The Sunflower Fund.

There are two corporate hospitality packages available that will give revellers all-inclusive options and are sold in tables seating six. Please remember to use ‘Sunflower’ to book your Braumeister or Brauhaus Package and 15 per cent of proceeds will be donated to The Sunflower Fund.

All tickets can be booked through the Bierfest website www.bierfest.co.za or through Bierfest’s Facebook page; SABierfest. Don’t forget to use The Sunflower Fund booking code.

The Durban event, which is being held at Suncoast from Friday 19 to Sunday 21 September, is not open to anyone under the age of 18.

All funds raised will be used to build the South African Bone Marrow Registry to give hope to patients diagnosed with life-threatening blood disorders and in need of a bone marrow stem cell transplant.

To learn more about becoming a bone marrow donor, contact The Sunflower Fund on 031 266 1148 or e-mail Allison Naidoo on allison@sunflowerfund.org.za
