Durban is SA’s coolest city – CNN

We may have the warmest climate, but according to international news giant CNN, Durban is “the coolest city in South Africa the world has never seen.

It’s kind of a backhanded compliment from the US-based news organisation, since it implies that Durban is also relatively obscure in comparison to other South African cities, like “trendy” Johannesburg and “glamarous” Cape Town.

But hey, we’re not mad at CNN; all publicity is good publicity.

The article singled out popular spots such as Ushaka Marine World and the Moses Mabhida stadium, as well as historical attractions like Mahatma Ghandi’s home in Phoenix.
