Fun art expo at Wendon Academy

Wendon Academy raise funds through art expo and potjie pot evening.

WENDON Academy School hosted their annual art expo. This provides an opportunity to display the pupils amazing creative work done throughout the year. The hall was transformed into an art gallery featuring superior arts and crafts.

Wendon Academy, managing director, Wendy Hicks said, the young artists take pride in showing their loved ones their work.

“Combined with this artistic endeavour, we have the art of “potjie pot” making as well,” she said.

Celebrities of culinary art, Jennifer Govender and Zane Jacobs showed Wendon Academy parents their skills.

“Some of the the parents and staff also showcased their abilities with delicious potjies on the night,” said Hicks.

This fun-filled, zany evening was a novel combination of the arts and entertainment by John Didlick to raise much needed funds through co-operation, support and much laughter.
