Police nab alleged Oxford robber

Shongweni K9 Unit officers are looking to make more arrestst following a robbery at the Oxford Super Market.

ONE man was arrested last night in connection with the armed robbery at Oxford Super Market in Hillcrest on Saturday. Two armed men fled with R26 000 after they robbed the store.

Captain Neil Thaver of the Shongweni K9 Dog Unit said officers received information from local private investigator, Heinrich Schwarz, regarding the whereabouts of one robber.

“Members of the K9 Unit, W/O Buckthorpe, W/O Hutt, Const Dladla, Sgt Ashraf and Const Masango from the Shongweni K9 Unit arrested the suspect in the Embo area. More arrests are expected,” he said.
