Beautiful art pieces on display at estate
Four friends and artists are currently displaying their works of art at the Summerhill Estate in Cowies Hill.
FOUR local and talented artists will be exhibiting their works at Summerhill Estate, 9 Belvadale Road in Westville, until Wednesday 10 December from 9am to 8pm.
Catherine lives in Cowies Hill and said she loves to paint her immediate surroundings and works in oils, watercolours, charcoal and mixed media.
Drawing inspiration from her surroundings and focusing on the textures and patterns is what inspires Hermine Coleman’s pieces. She paints in water colour and acrylic.
Having taught pottery to both adults and children for more than 30 years and exhibited her paintings and ceramics throughout South Africa, Lorraine Wilson is a commissioned watercolourist and her pieces cover animals and wildlife and landscapes to nudes and abstract art.
Anthea Martin enjoys working in mixed media, and has photographs, water colours and collages on display at the estate with her favourite piece being Civilisation.
