Eskom halts load shedding

There is still a risk of load shedding in the evening after 6pm, which is peak period.

ESKOM has announced there will be no load shedding scheduled during the day on Monday.

Eskom spokesperson Andrew Etzinger said today in an interview the power utility has managed to bring in coal conveyers to assist the collapsed silo at Majuba power plant in Mpumalanga.

He added that there was still a risk of load shedding in the evening after 6pm, which is peak period.

This comes after Ethekwini Municipality implemented stage 2 of the load shedding schedule after being advised by Eskom of constrained electricity supply on Sunday 2 November.
