Three pedestrians were transported to hospital earlier today after being hit by a learner driver.

THREE pedestrians were transported to hospital after they were hit by a learner driver outside the Rossburgh Testing Station at around 9am today.

According to Lindy Zeka, owner of a shop situated across from the testing station, the young woman was driving along Titren Road, Rossburgh when she allegedly lost control of the car and plowed into the pedestrians, who were standing on the pavement. The relevant authorities were present at the scene.

Communications officer for the Bellair SAPS, Warrant Officer, Derek Vijiam, said, “The injuries sustained by the pedestrians were not serious. A case of reckless and negligent driving has been opened.”
