Jenna is R1 200 closer to achieving her dreams

Westville resident, Jenna O'Brien, held a modelling competition to raise funds for her to attend the prestigious Miss Junior SA pageant in Johannesburg at the end of April.

MANY people gathered at Westville Senior Primary School to support Westville resident, Jenna O’Brien, to raise funds for her to attend the prestigious Miss Junior SA pageant in Johannesburg at the end of April.

With the help from her mother, she was able to host a modelling competition as a fundraiser. There were many entrants from different categories, modelling glamorous outfits on the catwalk.

The winners were Gareth van Zyl (boys two to 12 years), Byron van Zyl (boys 13 years and older), Eva Coffin-Grey (girls two to five years), Tayla Warren (girls six to nine years), Courtney Creba (girls 10 to 12 years), Okuhle Shinga (girls 13 to 16 years) and Kelly Vindt (girls 17 years and older).

“We raised just over R1 200 after expenses, and still have a long way to go, but every cent counts,” said Helen O’Brien, Jenna’s mother.

The family thanked all its sponsors for the event as well as the judges, Shaun Stander, Vernon Faul and Shona Clark.
