Zumbathon raises R2 500 for abandoned babies
Hope House received R2 500 from the Zumbathon fundraiser, held at the Pinetown Presbyterian Church on Saturday.
FITNESS fanatics joined the Zumbathon at the Pinetown Presbyterian Church on Saturday morning to raise funds for Hope House.
The event raised R2 500, which will go towards caring for abandoned babies.
Sonja Swinton and Lynne Pieterse, the founders of Hope House, were overwhelmed by the support and were grateful for the donation.
They said they care for a number of abandoned babies, and at times even help in uniting an abandoned baby with a loving family.
“We recently assisted a Chinese family to adopt little Sinati, who is delighted to be with his new family. We just want desperate women out there to know they have a choice and abortion should not be an option. There is always hope,” said Swinton.
