PINETOWN Girls’ High School SPAR Star of the Month is a humble young woman who is a proud member of both the school choir and the assembly choir.
Grade 11 pupil, Siphesihle Sibahle Zama, has had a passion for singing since her Grade 8 year. Teachers at the school said Sibahle is quiet and works consistently, always keeping up with the work that is expected from her.
“Following her passion for singing, she decided to audition for KZN Youth choir last year in September, and was accepted to be a part of the choir in October,” the school said.
The KZN Youth choir is a non-profit organisation that was founded 40 years ago. It consists of young members from the age of 14 to 25, who meet for practice every Friday from 5pm to 9pm.
The KZN Youth Choir competes every second year in the BMI competition in Europe. This year they are going on a tour to Poland in June.
The costs of going on tour are high, therefore Sibahle needs sponsors to proceed with this passion of hers.
“Sponsoring Sibahle is definitely going to be beneficial, as she has proven herself through her talent,” said PGHS teachers.
