Man falls from train in Mariannhill

A 25-YEAR-old man was seriously injured when he fell while trying to board a train this morning (Monday, 8 June) at the Dassenhoek train station, Mariannhill.

Robert Mckenzie, media liaison officer for Emergency Medical Services, said reports from the scene indicate the injured man is believed to have fallen from a train after trying to board after it had reportedly just started to pull away.

“Paramedics from KZN Emergency Medical Services responded to the case and found that the man had sustained serious injuries,” he said.

He was treated at the scene and transported to RK Khan hospital.
