Golden Paw Society highlights animal rescues

Residents are encouraged to attend the next Golden Paw Society meeting.

ANDREAS and Nikki Mathios from Pinetown Pet Rescue will address guests at the next Golden Paw Society meeting. They will share their stories about how they strive to reach out and help vulnerable animals on a daily basis. The meeting will be held on Thursday, 25 June at 9.30am at the Kloof and Highway SPCA tea garden (in the marquee) at 29 Village Road, Kloof.

Guests will also hear about Hope’s amazing story from Hayley Wright. Hope was hit by three cars and a truck and endured hardship on the road to recovery, but has now found her forever home.

The aim of the Golden Paw Society is to welcome its supporters as part of the SPCA family and keep them informed about the work undertaken by the Kloof and Highway SPCA in terms of inspectorate activities, animal healthcare, outreach clinics and education to promote the humane treatment of all animals.

There is no charge; however, donations are welcome. Refreshments will be served. RSVP: Barbara Laubscher on 031 764 1212/3 or e-mail fundraising@klofspca.co.za by Tuesday, 23 June.
