Embo writer gets the job done

AN inquisitive young man from Embo has made his mark in the art and drama department, which has led him to winning awards.
Sanele Livingstone Mbili (28) was born and bred in Embo and completed matric in 2004 at KwaNtebeni Comprehensive High School. Sanele is a weekend presenter and a content producer who works in various departments at Radio Khwezi, including the drama department, technical department and in the studios.
“I am highly inquisitive. I believe in getting the job done. I love reading and writing. I also like to share ideas, do research, and I am eager to know more. Being around people and socialising is what I enjoy most.
“I joined Radio Khwezi in 2010 and I now have five years’ experience in radio. I recently wrote eight broadcasted radio dramas and received an overwhelming response from listeners,” he said.
In 2014, his drama, Zifika Zidlule, was nominated as a finalist in the MTN Radio Awards and in 2015, his other drama, Ibhunguka, won an MTN radio award under the drama category.
“At present I freelance for various newspapers. I also write short stories and I love photography. I was a finalist in the MDDA-Sanlam Awards for Best Indigenous Music Programme and won Best Educational Magazine Show in May this year.”
Sanele has a diploma in comprehensive writing and is currently studying towards a BA in communication science through UNISA.
“I am a well-motivated and extremely energetic person who functions well under pressure,” he added.
