5 children hurt in accident

At this stage it is unclear what caused the single vehicle to lose control.

FIVE children have been injured after the vehicle they were in lost control and overturned on the M13 Durban-bound near Westwood Mall just after 2.30pm on Tuesday, 10 November.

According to Rescue Care paramedics, they found that the vehicle had come off the M13 and landed on the on-ramp below near the Westwood Mall.

The driver and five young children were in the vehicle and all suffered minor to moderate injuries.

“All of the injured were stabilised on the scene before being transported to a nearby private hospital,” said Garrith Jamieson, Rescue Care’s operations director, who also said the roads were wet and slippery due to the rain.
