Mitchell retires after 51 years in public service

He has served in the Public Service for 31 years.

QUEENSBURGH councillor, André Mitchell, is currently serving his fourth and last term as he soon retires as ward councillor after 20 years of service.

“This will be my last tree planting in ward 63 since I will retire after this term. I first planted a Mahogany tree and then this Stinkwood tree as a reminder of my fourth term completed as a local ward,” he said.

Before becoming a ward councillor, Mitchell served in the Public Service for 31 years and retired as Head of the Administration at the former House of Delegates holding the position of Director of Administration.

“This completes a grand total of 51 years of service to the public,” he added.
