18 children injured in collision
Two children had sustained moderate injuries and were stabilised by advanced life support paramedics on scene.
EIGHTEEN children ranging from four to 15 years old were injured when a taxi and a car collided at the intersection of Booth Road and Bellair Road at around 2pm on Monday, 25 January.
Rescue Care Paramedics arrived to find all the children on the side of the road. They immediately began stabilising them while more ambulances were called to assist.
Two children had sustained moderate injuries and were stabilised by advanced life support paramedics on scene. Once all of the injured had been stabilised, they were transported to various hospitals in Durban for the further care.
The cause of the accident is still unknown, however, SAPS are investigating.
