Queensburgh Girls celebrate top pupils

The gathering was in honour of the school's top matriculant pupils of 2015 who all obtained more than five distinction each.

HARD work, sacrifice and a bright future were the words of the day at the special assembly hosted at Queensburgh Girls’ High School on Tuesday, 19 January. The gathering was in honour of the school’s top matriculant pupils of 2015 who all obtained more than five distinction each.

Addressing the school, principal, Mrs S Motheeram, said the platform was also to motivate the other pupils to excel at their studies for a brighter future. “I hope that your achievements will be high enough to earn you an invitation to this special assembly next year,” she said.

“Matric is now done, the future is ahead with a bright promise because of the sacrifices you made. You gave up leisure time, partying, socialisation and I encourage everyone to work hard with focus. Your matric results will always follow you, whether they are good or bad. They follow you for life,” she added.

After the assembly, the guests of honour were treated to snacks and refreshments with the the staff where they were congratulated once more.
