1 dead, 5 injured in N3 accident

ONE person was killed and five others were injured during a crash on the N3 Durban-bound before the Pavilion off-ramp.

According to ER24’s spokesman, Pieter Rossouw, only one vehicle was involved in the incident and there were six people in the construction vehicle. “All of the occupants were males between the ages of 20 and 40. The bakkie allegedly hit a barrier on the side of the road, which led it to roll several times,” said Rossouw.

ER24 treated three of the men and took them to King Edward Hospital. The other two injured passengers were treated and transported by other medical services at the scene. The cause of the incident is unknown and the local SAPS were at the scene and will be investigating.
