TO combat crime, the Bellair police conducted a blue light patrol in the area recently.. The SAPS were in convoy doing stop and searches as well as on the spot arrests in Bellair, Seaview, Hillary, Mount Vernon as well as Rossburgh.
Acting Communications Officer, W/O Prakash Kumar, said they have seen and noted a decrease in crime due to proactive measures being deployed in the area. “Crime has dropped drastically in the area and we received positive feedback from the community about our recent patrols. We have noticed that in some areas the crime level is at zero and we intend to keep it that way,” he said.
