THREE Pinetown Girls’ High School pupils, Sandiswa Shamase, Lindokuhle Ntombela and Wandile Mpanza hosted a Street Fashion Show at the Pinetown Civic Hall recently to raise funds for charity.
Sandiswa said, “We contacted established, local street brands and local artists and we got a number who were willing to help out such as Breeze, BAPS, Abstract Truth and Calvary.”
The girls aimed to raise funds for a new NPO called Prevention is better than cure, to support local brands and empower those who might be interested in creative arts.
They managed to raise R3000. The trio hopes that this event would encourage other young people as well as inspire and showcase young fashion brands and artists that have a passion for the youth.
