Pop along to World Animal Day puppet show

Celebrate your pets by taking part in a fundraiser competition at a local eatery to help raise funds for the Kloof and Highway SPCA.

TAKE part in the fun and excitement at the World Animal Day celebrations hosted by Johnny B’s in Kloof on Saturday, 8 October and help raise funds for the Kloof and Highway SPCA.

The mission behind World Animal Day is to raise the status of animals to improve their welfare standards. “It’s celebrated in different ways in every country, irrespective of nationality, religion, faith or political ideology. Through increased awareness and education, we can create a world where animals are always recognised as sentient beings and full regard is always paid to their welfare,” said Barbara Laubscher of the Social Cause Agency.

Children are encouraged to submit a photo of themselves with their pet, along with a quote as to why they love their pet, via email to info@johnnybs.co.za. Alternatively, they can submit a hard copy on the day. Entry into this event is R20 per submission and can be paid for at the door on the day of the event.

There will be a jumping castle, a colouring in and drawing competition as well as the wonderful SPCA puppet show. Contact Gaynor on 072 335 5522.
