Pupils create a cleaner Hillcrest

The duo picked up litter across the Hillcrest area as part of their voluntary community service.

The Keep Hillcrest Beautiful Association acknowledged the hard work that two Waterfall College pupils put into cleaning up the Hillcrest area.

Both Kyle Wiesner and Sidney Reed chose to do their community service by picking up recyclable material such as cans and bottles and cardboard in the Hillcrest area, reducing the litter. “Their efforts in the Hillcrest area are much appreciated and we thank them. The young are the future of our beautiful country,” said Marge Mitchell, chairman of the Keep Hillcrest Beautiful Association.

The duo were handed certificates of community service which were awarded to them by Maggie Fleming, a committee member of the Association. “We encourage more young people to help our association keep the area beautiful for the benefit of all,” said Marge.
