Government wishes matriculants well

“Education remains an essential tool in building an inclusive society, providing equal opportunities and helping all South Africans to realise their full potential,” - government.

THE government has issued a statement to wish all matriculants well as they begin their 2017 National Senior Certificate (NSC) examinations.

The communications minister, Mmamoloko Kubayi-Ngubane, said, “This is the most critical time of the year as this examination concludes 12 years of schooling. Learners are advised to remain focused on their studies and parents and guardians are encouraged to create a supportive environment during this significant period in their lives.”

Kubayi-Ngubane noted that government is pleased with measures put in place by KwaZulu-Natal’s Department of Education to safeguard centres, enabling learners to write their examinations following the damage caused by the recent storms in the province.

“Education remains an essential tool in building an inclusive society, providing equal opportunities and helping all South Africans to realise their full potential,” said Kubayi-Ngubane.
