Police arrest two men for robbing Pinetown learners

Police are searching for two other men who are believed to be part of the gang that is targeting learners around the Pinetown area.

TWO men who are believed to be part of the gang that is targeting learners will appear in the Pinetown Magistrate’s Court today (22 November).

Pinetown SAPS communications officer, W/O Muzi Maphumulo said the men allegedly robbed two Pinetown Boys’ learners of their cellphones in Stapleton Road on Monday. One of the men was then arrested after the gang robbed other learners around Park Lane on the same day.

“The first man was found in possession of a gun. The second man was arrested yesterday, (Tuesday, 21 November) in Clermont),” said W/O Maphumulo.

Maphumulo added that police believe this is a gang of four and police are searching for the other two suspects.
