One killed, 3 injured in Pinetown taxi rank shooting

The man was declared dead on scene.

A MAN believed to be in his 30s was killed on Friday evening when a shooting incident occurred at a taxi rank on Hill Street in Pinetown.

ER24 spokesman, Russel Meiring said paramedics found the body of a man lying next to the pavement, three other patients were seated a short distance away.

“Paramedics assessed the man and found that he sustained numerous gun shot wounds and was declared dead on scene.

“The three other patients were treated and transported to hospital,” said Meiring.

Police will be investigating the cause of the shooting.
