Learners prepare loving lunches
A group of learners raised funds and in-kind donations to prepare a feast for more than 80 lucky Mariannhill residents.
FOURTEEN St Francis College learners partnered with Religions for Peace to donate hearty meals to Mariannhill residents recently.
The caring team of learners, who are part of the Youth Peace Forum, of the Arigatou International – Global Network on Religions for Children (GNRC), raised more than R1 000 and collected in-kind donations to treat more than 80 people in Mariannhill to a fun luncheon.

The residents were treated to a starter of soup and rolls with chicken rice and salad for mains while the children devoured hot dogs. Refreshments were also served.
“I had that proud mum feeling you get when seeing your children do good,” said Saydoon Nisa Sayed.
