THOMAS More College’s Jaime Lamb is its high school SPAR Star of the Month.
Jaime Lamb is a member of Thomas More College’s Vocal Tenacity choir as well as the specialist ensemble, Retro Beats.
Her talents have recently been recognised as she was chosen as a member of the KZN Youth Choir. Jaime is very excited at the privilege of representing the province alongside the other talented members of the auspicious choir. It is the oldest youth choir in the country and during the July holidays she will perform at the Summa Cum Laude Youth Musical Festival in Vienna.
This will be the culmination of a tour that includes performances in Croatia and Slovenia. Jaime has always had a passion for singing and her first recognition came when she was awarded the Golden Mike award at the end of her Grade 7 year. She has performed a few solo performances for the choir at the Christmas carol evenings.
When she started high school, she began formal vocal training with Samantha Landers, and has become more confident with vocal performances and recently played the role of Mama in the Thomas More High School rendition of Chicago. Jaime occasionally performs with the talented Ron Dove.
