FOR June, Forest View Primary School chose Asher Chovuchovu as its SPAR Star of the Month.
Asher is a Grade 7 learner and has been at Forest View Primary School since Grade 2. He has demonstrated a love of learning and always giving 100 per cent. He offers a helping hand when needed and has a smile for everyone.
“Asher perseveres, even when he finds a task difficult and it is this attitude that we know has made him successful on the sports field as well as in the classroom,” his Grade 7 form educator, Emily-Jane Gouveia.
He plays soccer, tennis, rugby and cricket at school and was a very successful 1st team rugby captain this term. Asher plays as either the fly half or scrum half. He is always thinking on the field and very vocal in communicating with his team and controlling the game for his team.
Asher has also made the second round of PADSSA for U13 cricket. Asher is talented batsman and is also the team’s wicket keeper. As a batsmen, he plays the situation very well. He is very watchful on the crease and is always ready to put the ball away.
The staff at Forest View Priamry School described Asher as a committed, helpful and well-mannered learner, both on and off the field.
