Police discover body of missing Pinetown girl

The child's body was found in a bush near the suspect's home. The Highway Mail sends its deepest condolences to the family.

PINETOWN police made a gruesome discovery while continuing with their search for Siphumelele Mzimba from Nazareth.

The body of the 10-year-old girl was found in a bush in Nazareth yesterday afternoon, (Thursday, 4 July).

Siphumelele was reported missing after she went to a hairdresser near her home, but never reached her destination on Thursday, 13 June.

Later that day her parents received a message demanding a ransom of R20 000.

A few days later, a 39-year-old woman was arrested in connection with Siphumelele’s disappearance.

He said a case of murder has been added to the suspect’s charges.
