Highway residents remember those who served

To commemorate World Poppy Day, MOTHs and members of the SA Legion sold poppies at local malls across the Upper Highway area.

IN remembrance of those who died, MOTHs, members of the SA Legion, local learners and scouts sold hundreds of poppies to commemorate World Poppy Day. The initiative was held to raise much-needed funds for those who served in uniform.

At the Kloof Village Mall, Kloof High School’s prefect body for 2020, alongside the 1st Hillcrest Scouts, teamed up with veterans and gave freely of their time to help sell the poppies to shoppers.
