Massive science lab boost for KHS

The local school officially unveiled eight new laboratories that were donated to it by the Victor Daitz Foundation earlier this year.

IT was an incredibly exciting week at Kloof High School as the four new life science and four natural science laboratories were unveiled.

The school was gifted the laboratories by the Victor Daitz Foundation earlier this year. The foundation is a charitable trust founded by Victor Daitz on 4 July in 1984. The trust perpetuates the spirit of the man who established it and his legacy is the opportunity to establish a better life for the South Africans who are the recipients of his bounty.

The labs were officially opened and viewed by members of the foundation early last week. The foundation was also thanked in a special assembly where various members of staff and learners were given the opportunity to say how the laboratories have improved their learning and teaching experience during lessons.

Kloof High School’s former principal, Dawn Lefort, said, “We are extremely grateful for these wonderful classrooms and know that they will serve our children and educators well for years to come.”
