#LockdownSA: Durban Municipality reopens landfill sites

Landfill sites have opened under the new level 4 lockdown regulations.

ETHEKWINI Municipality’s Cleansing and Solid Waste Unit has announced the reopening of landfill and garden sites that were closed during level 5 lockdown.

The following sites opened on Monday, 4 May.

Buffelsdraai Landfill open from 7am to 5pm – normal permit times.
Lovu Landfill is open from 7am to 4.30pm – normal permit times.
Bisasar Landfill is open from 7am to 3.30pm.
Mariannhill Landfill is open from 7am to 3.30pm.
The Shallcross Garden Site is open from 7am to 3.30pm.
All Garden Drop Off Sites are open from 7am to 3.30pm.

Residents are reminded to double bag waste that is generated by people who are in quarantine or infected with COVID 19, to minimise the risk of infection during collection.
