Support Hillcrest AIDS Centre Trust’s Mandela Day sticker fundraiser

There are many different ways that you can help support the Hillcrest AIDS Centre Trust this Manela Day. Click the jump to find out how.

THE Hillcrest AIDS Centre Trust (HACT) has challenged Highway residents to help it make a difference this Mandela Day by supporting its Covid-19 emergency relief activities.

There are Mandela Day stickers on sale for R10 each or you can sponsor a children’s Covid-19 educational activity booklet (in isiZulu) and a crayon set for R35, a tray of seedlings for a gogo’s home veggie garden for R65, a PPE kit for HACT’s nurses and frontline healthcare workers for R80, a Covid-19 safety kit for a family of four (face masks, gloves, Jik and hand sanitiser) for R100, a food hamper for a family of four for R450) or a Covid test for HACT’s Respite Unit patients (patients are tested prior to admission) for R650.

Items on the NPO’s wish list for its food hampers include maize meal, rice, samp/sugar beans, cooking oil, tea and sugar and tinned food.

The wish list items for the patients in its 24-bed Respite Unit are face cloths, Vaseline, body lotion, soap, toothpaste and toothbrushes.

All donations can be dropped off at 26 Old Main Road in Hillcrest from Monday to Friday between 8am and 4pm and on Saturday, 18 July from 8am to 2pm.

Cash donations can be made via the organisation’s website at www.hillaids.org.za or via EFT.

Please email fundraising@hillaids.org.za to confirm what is being sponsored. All donations are tax deductible.
