AFTER a car chase through Embo, a Blue Security Highway Tactical Officer recovered items stolen yesterday morning during a Botha’s Hill housebreaking incident.
The security company’s reaction units were called out to investigate a housebreaking incident on Monday morning and one of the tactical officers opted to patrol through the Embo area.
During his patrol, the officer passed a blue VW Polo and spotted the items that were reported stolen inside the vehicle. He set off in pursuit of the vehicle, which contained three suspects.
The chase continued deep into Embo and the driver of the VW Polo lost control of the vehicle and crashed. All three suspects fled on foot and left the stolen items, that included a TV, speakers and other electronic equipment, inside the vehicle.
The three men are still at large and SAPS is investigating.
