6 charges for known drug dealer arrested by Malvern SAPS
Police say the man arrested is a well-known dealer in drugs and Malvern SAPS detectives are building six drug-related cases against him.
DRUGS were confiscated and a dealer arrested recently by the Malvern SAPS crime prevention unit.
A recent operation, under the supervision of Cpt Mano Govender, saw a team made up of Sgt Pravesh Singh, Cst Lavern Gounden and Cst Nelson Moodley responding to information while out patrolling.

This lead them to the address of a known drug dealer near the M7 shacks in Queensburgh on a Friday evening.
“Observations were immediately held near the entrance of the M7 shacks,” said Malvern SAPS communications officer, Sgt Sthembile Kheswa.
“It was noticed by the members that a various number of people were coming in and out of the house.”
Kheswa said the team went towards the shacks and entered the premises introducing themselves as police officials.
“Upon searching the house, they found heroine, illegal ammunition and dagga.”
“The suspect was placed under arrest immediately and transported to the Malvern SAPS and charged accordingly,” said Kheswa.

“Observation is the part of our duties as crime prevention,” explained Kheswa. “Malvern SAPS is committed to removing drug criminals from our streets and community.”
Lt Col Val Reddy, Station Commander at Malvern SAPS said she was pleased by the work of her crime prevention unit.
“This is an excellent arrest of a known drug criminal in the community. We hope that the investigation will lead to a successful conviction,” she said.
