Leighton Agg’s murder case adjourned for further investigations
Leighton Agg (42) was last seen on 30 September and his body was recovered on 7 October under the Umgeni River Bridge on Ottosbluff Road.
THE case against a Malawian national who was arrested for the murder of Hillcrest resident, Leighton Agg, was adjourned at the Pinetown Magistrate’s Court until 10 March for further investigation by local SAPS.
The 21-year-old accused faces charges of housebreaking with intent to rob and murder.

Agg was last seen on 30 September 2020, driving his white Bantam bakkie in Winston Park.
The vehicle was found abandoned, with its licence disc and number plates removed, in Pietermaritzburg.
The 42-year-old man’s body was found on 7 October under the Umgeni River Bridge on Ottosbluff Road.
The accused is still in custody as he abandoned his bail application at the Pinetown Magistrate’s Court on 27 October 2020.
