Neck-in-neck: Naming competition winner revealed

Congratulations to Highway Mail reader, Cindy Alborough for picking the winning name for the baby giraffe.

THE votes were cast and counted and the name for the young male giraffe at PheZulu Safari Park was chosen. Bukekayo is the newest addition to the family.

The Highway Mail, PheZulu Safari Park and the 1000 Hills Community Tourism Organisation recently held a competition to name the new giraffe born at the Upper Highway safari park.

“The PheZulu team settled on the name Bukekayo, which means beautiful, fine and handsome and it suits our little man perfectly!” said the owner of PheZulu Safari Park, Leo Kroone.

Congratulations to Highway Mail reader, Cindy Alborough, who submitted the winning name.
