Good Samaritan returns lost phone to Westville owner
The Westville couple has expressed their gratitude to Mulelwa Rashid who picked up their phone and returned it to them.
NOT all heroes wear capes and Mulelwa Rashid, who picked up a phone and returned it to the owner, is the perfect example of this saying.
Westville woman, Eugene Page is now singing the praises of this good Samaritan.

“We read so many depressing stories and this really touched us, restored our faith in mankind and we can not thank him enough.”
Page said her husband, Manfred went on his usual jog around the neighbourhood on Thursday, 1 April.
“To his dismay, he soon noticed that his cellphone had dropped out of his pocket. We fetched my cellphone and rang his number hoping to locate it hidden in the long grass.
The impressed Page said they were amazed when a stranger picked up the phone.
“He agreed to meet with us and gladly returned the phone. We are truly thankful,” said Page.

Mulelwa said he was on his way to work when he found the phone on Jan Hofmeyer Road.
“I picked it up and put it on my pocket hoping that the owner will call. When the wife called, I told them I was rushing to work and I will call them in the afternoon to give them back the phone,” he said.
He told the Highway Mail that he did not even think of keeping the phone for himself.
“It is not right to claim other people’s belongings. I did this because it was the right thing to do,” he said.
The 50-year-old is self employed and is skilled painter, does brick laying and repairs roofs.
