Pinetown owners desperate for dog’s safe return
Alan and Ronelle Botha are desperate to find their dog, Bella, a three-year-old Bullmastiff, who went missing on Tuesday, 31 May.
PINETOWN residents, Ronelle and Alan Botha have done, and continue to do, everything in their power to search for their beloved dog.

Apart from putting up posters in Pinetown and surrounding areas, the desperate couple drives around everyday to locate Bella.
The Bothas, who are offering a substantial reward for the safe return of their dog, said what shocks them the most is that there are scammers using their terrible ordeal to make money.
“We have received calls from people who have told us that we need to pay them or else they would kill her.”
To this date, the couple has printed more than 500 flyers which are visible on the poles when driving around Pinetown.
“We have done everything in our power to try and find Bella, we have put up posters in Pinetown and surroundings, we have even gone to the taxi ranks and to Nazareth, Moseley, Queensburgh and Klaarwater areas.
“Bella and her sister are like our children, they are very special and share the bed with us. Her sister just lies in the house because she also misses Bella. Our lives have not been the same,” said a devastated Ronelle.

The Bothas said they checked the CCTV footage when they noticed that Bella was missing and saw that she slipped out.
“It was just less than 30 minutes, my husband went out to look for her and was told that she was seen going down the road. We searched and there was no sign of her, we even shared on community groups but no one seemed to have seen her, she just disappeared,” she said.
Their fear now is the thought that she might have been stolen and is being used for dog fighting.
“We have been driving around every day, have been to vets, searched at the SPCAs but no leads have come though as yet. We are really desperate to find her,” said Ronelle.
The thought of not knowing where Bella is and how she is being treated has left the couple traumatised. They are now pleading with anyone who may have found her to contact them.
