Learners pour their hearts into fluffy friends

There was huge excitement among the learners and lots of special memories were made.

A YEAR-END visit by Buddy Bear is one of the highlights for the Grade 2 learners at St Benedict School.

This year, each learner got to build their very own fluffy cat, striped cat, dog or reindeer. They got to give it a heart, stuff it, weigh and measure it and a birth certificate was issued.

“They also got to groom and dress their new pet. Two days later, the Grade 2 learners had a thanksgiving picnic, where they all got to bring their new ‘buddies’ back to school for the day to share in the fun and as a reminder to count their many blessings, especially after two tough years,” said Grade 2 educator, Shareen Gould.
