Man hands himself over to Pinetown SAPS for girlfriend’s murder

The 40-year-old woman was found by a former colleague with a bullet wound to her forehead.

A MAN (45) is expected to appear at the Pinetown Magistrate’s Court today, March 23 for the murder of a 40-year-old woman.

The suspect handed himself over to the police on Sunday, March 20.

According to Pinetown Cluster communications officer, Captain Bongumusa Manqele, the body of the deceased was found by her former colleague at her residence on Bhulose Road in Nazareth.

“The former colleague had earlier received a call from the manager of the deceased as she did not report for duty in the morning of March, 20. The deceased had sustained a bullet wound to the forehead and she was half naked. A bullet head was found next to the deceased,” said Manqele.

A case of murder was opened at Pinetown Police Station for further investigation.

“Within hours after the discovery of the deceased, the suspect handed himself over to the police after he heard that police were looking for him,” said Manqele. The suspect will appear in court facing a murder charge.
