JUST IN: Elderly man shot dead in Pinetown attempted hijacking
The man died on the scene.
A 64-YEAR-OLD man was killed at the hands of ruthless criminals earlier today on Henwood Road.
According to the police report, the man parked his car, a white Polo Vivo outside a company in Henwood Road, Pinetown earlier today, Thursday, May 5.

“It is alleged that he was approached by three men, they tried to take his car before shooting him. The suspects fled with his car keys in another car that they were driving,” said Pinetown Cluster communications officer, Captain Bongumusa Manqele.
Police urges motorists to be wary of their surroundings as hijacking cases are on the increase.
No one has been arrested as yet and anyone who has information that could assist the police with the investigation is urged to contact Crime Stop on 08600 10111.
