Knit with love and compassion
The Highway Charity Knitters share their love with the community in Embo.
JOINED by their skill and love for charity, the Highway Charity Knitters happily handed over a donation of knitted jerseys and blankets to the community of Embo last week.
The knitters are a group of ladies in the Upper Highway that spread love and warmth by donating to various charities. The ladies came together recently at the Breve Café to hand over their latest crafts which will be passed onto Embo.

One of the group members, Linda Winfield, said the group usually meets during the week to share light conservations, laughter and a cup of tea while they knit with love.“The group started in 2014. We were a large group in Kloof, and we grew from that group to where we are today, and we have new faces.
“We are all knitters, and it is always good to come together to strengthen our skills through charity work. We also help each other with tips and different ways of knitting. It is always a joyful time when we come together to create,’ she said.
