The Keep Hillcrest Beautiful Association invites the public to help them keep Hillcrest beautiful.

This is the association’s effort to encourage people to keep their verge beautiful where they award the best verge for winter, summer, individuals and complexes.

Speaking on the award for the best corporate verge, March Mitchell of the organisation, said, “Each year, the Keep Hillcrest Beautiful Association chooses a corporate verge in Hillcrest that is well-maintained and beautified. The gardener or landscaper is presented with a generous hamper, for which we thank Richdens who provide the hamper each year.”

Apart from this joint effort with the community and local businesses, the KHBA also has a recycling centre where the community can drop off recyclable material.

Located on Delamore Road, the centre has been recognised for the recycling work they do and accepted an award for being the community recycling site with the highest tonnage collected of paper and cardboard – the award was handed out by Mpact, a recycling company in South Africa that collects recovered recyclables.

The organisation extended their gratitude to the community and local businesses for their continuous support.
