Hop to the Hills for Easter

Explore some special Easter-themed entertainment for the Easter weekend on the west side of Durban.

THERE is a lot of fun to be explored in the Valley of 1000 Hills this Easter. 

The tourist attraction site offers a host of options to suit every style, occasion and budget – and the temperate weather is cooler than the humidity of the coast and warmer than the autumn chill inland.

For lovers of fast-paced schoolboy rugby, there is the Kearsney Easter Rugby Tournament that kicks off on Thursday, March 28, carrying over to Saturday, March 30, and Monday, April 1.

Some key destinations will be offering Easter-themed activities, many featuring the very busy Easter Bunny and lots more.

The Umgeni Steam Railway will be up and running with the the Easter Bunny on board. The 75-minute train rides from Inchanga Railway Station to Botha’s Hill will be on March 30 and 31.

With eggs sponsored by 1000 Hills CTO, on Easter Saturday morning, the Kloof and Highway SPCA will also have an Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 30, from 08:00 to 15:00, at their Tea Garden.

The Shongweni Market will also be hosting an Easter Market on Saturday from 07:00 to 13:00 and Sunday from 08:00 to 13:00.
