According to the organisation, this milestone event highlights the profound impact of collaborative partnerships in uplifting Early Childhood Development (ECD) in our community.

“Siyajabula Pre-School, owned by principal Buyi Ngongoma, has been a partner of Focus on iThemba since 2012. Through this enduring collaboration, Siyajabula has evolved from humble beginnings to a nurturing environment catering to 106 children aged three months to six years. As the school commemorates its 30th founding anniversary, it stands as a testament to the transformative power of education and community support.

“Under the visionary leadership of Buyi Ngongoma, and with the unwavering support of Focus on iThemba, Siyajabula has emerged as a beacon of excellence in early childhood education. The school’s commitment to providing a high-quality learning experience has earned it widespread acclaim, and its ever-growing waiting list is the reason for this structural transformation project. The project will allow for two additional classrooms, an office, storage, ablutions and an extended play area,” relayed the organisation.
During a poignant ‘turning of the soil’ ceremony, founder Elizabeth Ngongoma joined the gathering, symbolising the continuation of a legacy built on dedication and service to future generations. The event underscored the spirit of collaboration and shared purpose driving Siyajabula’s expansion project.

Expressing gratitude, Ngongoma said, “This new addition to my school will be life-changing. It comes in the year that our school celebrates our 30th Founding Anniversary which is truly amazing. Thank you for making this possible.”
