Man killed in suspected Sarnia home invasion

Police in Pinetown are investigating a case of murder and house robbery after a fatal shooting on Limpus Road, Sarnia.

A MAN believed to be in his 40s was killed in a suspected home invasion on Wednesday morning on Limpus Road, Sarnia. ALS Paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson reported that they responded to the incident in the early hours of the morning. 

“ALS Paramedics Medical Services arrived on the scene to find SAPS on scene and were directed to the patient. Paramedics quickly assessed the patient and found that a man believed to be in his forties had sustained a gunshot wound to his chest and was in a critical condition.

“Advanced Life Support Paramedics worked to stabilise him on the scene, however he went into a state of cardiac arrest. Paramedics attempted to resuscitate the man, however his injuries were too severe and he was declared deceased on the scene,” he said. 

Police in Pinetown confirmed the incident saying they are investigating a case of murder and house robbery.
