A Community United for Safer Roads, Warmer Hearts & Brighter Smiles
On 24 June 2026, the Upper Highway community will come together for far more than just a convoy — it will be a powerful movement of unity, awareness, and compassion as the Light Workers UNITE Road Safety Convoy 2026 takes to the roads.
With the heartfelt message, “Every siren tells a story. Let’s make fewer of them,” this impactful initiative honours the brave first responders who protect our communities daily, while also shining a spotlight on road safety and the importance of responsible driving.
The convoy will begin at NPN Auto and travel along the M13 through Kloof and Hillcrest before arriving in spectacular fashion at Watercrest Mall, where the community is invited to gather from 18:30 and witness the arrival of local heroes, emergency vehicles, lights, and sirens from 19:10.
But this event is about more than road safety — it’s about making a real difference.

Christmas in June – Bring a Teddy, Share a SmileIn a beautiful act of kindness, community members are encouraged to bring a teddy bear to place on the “Teddy Tree,” helping spread comfort and joy to children in need. Every teddy donated represents a smile, a source of comfort, and a reminder that someone cares.
Donations can also include:
- Shelf-stable food
- Dry food items
- Blankets to keep families warm this winter
Teddy donations can be dropped off at Watercrest Mall Management Reception, making it easy for everyone to be part of this meaningful cause.
Adding to the excitement, attendees can also participate in the Best Dressed Competition, dressing as local heroes, superheroes, or themed characters for a chance to win fantastic prizes.
This extraordinary event, proudly supported by dedicated sponsors and community partners, is a chance for families, businesses, and residents to stand together in support of first responders, vulnerable families, and safer roads for all.
Join the movement. Support the heroes. Bring hope.
