Wyebank Hindu Temple to honour women

The Women's Day event on Saturday is meant to celebrate the strength, courage, compassion and resilience of women.

THE Women’s Forum of the Wyebank Hindu Temple will honour the remarkable women who have shaped families, communities, and the organisation through faith, service, and dedication, with a celebration on Saturday (August 22).

Ranitha Nadesan, the forum’s spokesperson, said the Women’s Day event offers a meaningful opportunity to celebrate the strength, courage, compassion, and resilience of women.

“This day also calls us to strengthen one another. When women support rather than compete, mentor younger generations, strengthen families, and reach out to those in need, we become a powerful force for positive change. Let us build spaces where every woman feels valued, heard, respected, and supported.

“As women of faith, we are reminded that our worth is not defined by circumstances, achievements, or titles. Every woman is created with dignity, purpose, and unique gifts. Our faith calls us to use these gifts to uplift others, uphold what is right, and be a source of encouragement and hope.

“We are honoured to have with us today an esteemed  panel of women who bring with them a wealth of experience, knowledge and diverse perspectives. Through their stories and insights, we hope to inspire meaningful conversation, encourage one another and reflect on the challenges and opportunities facing women today,” said Nadesan.
