St Mary’s pays tribute to greatness

It was a proud day for teachers and parents as they rewarded greatness at the St Mary’s annual High School Speech Awards.

ST MARY’S DSG in Kloof held their annual High School Speech Awards. The school said the ceremony recognises the achievements of the girls and celebrates their diligence and hard work, which culminates in their incredible results.

“Well done to all our matrics and tonight’s prize-winners. Your work ethic and commitment is commendable, and we are so proud of you. We particularly congratulate our 2022 Proxime Accessit, Tara Cave, and our Dux, who won the Burgess Shield, Tracey Le Roux,” stated the school.

The guest speakers were international and national old girls award-winners. The international recipient was Dr Fiona Blaikie from the class of 1974, and the national recipient was Emma Prinsloo, nee Chelius, from the class of 2013.
They added, “Both ladies spoke from the heart, and with fondness, remembered their time at the school and what a nurturing and inspirational institution St Mary’s was and still is. Their poignant words spoke volumes to the girls, who were both entertained and inspired by these two remarkable women who have achieved so much.”
